Summer is over!

I can't believe Summer is almost coming to an end. My kids will be back to school starting this coming Tuesday, September 7. I admit I did complain that they drove me crazy sometime during their time off, but I know I will miss them next week when they're back to school. I have been spending these two months taking them places, swimming, and tennis lessons. I know I will come down with an empty-nest syndrome for a few days when they're gone, but I'm sure I will quicky get back in track with my work in my cozy working studio. :)

Following are some of the photos I took over the Summer and thought I would share them with you to remembering the Summer months. I love nature, and I think even wild flowers do have their own beauty and uniqueness. Enyoy!

Enjoy the rest of the Summer!

Füchst Bags is being featured in a giveaway blog site

It was quite presently surprised to find out that my bags and I was being featured in a giveaway blog site called Moms Addicted to Bargain. I woke up this morning, as usual I turned on my computer and went straight to my Facebook Fan Page to see what's new and maybe add some new posts to keep in touch with my fb fans. Instead, I found a link from the MATB blog site and a picture of my Sky blue wristlet that I had just recently sold it to a lovely client, Emily. It turned out that Emily purchased the same style wristlet in different floral print a month ago, and she loved it. She purchased the second one to giveaway in her giveaway blog site. How sweet is that! I'm so thankful to Emily for such nice gestures, not only did she purchased the purses from me, but to help promote my shop, me, and my collection of handmade bags. A HUGE THANK YOU to Emily! One classy client! XOXO.

It's not too late, you can still enter the draw for this giveaway today. Please follow this blog site for more future giveaways http://momsaddictedtobargainsites.blogspot.com/2010/08/our-first-giveaway.html

Good luck everyone!

My new convertible Medusa bag

Medusa is my newly designed and handmade bag that has a set of magic straps that can be converted from a tote, to messeger bag, and to a backpack. I named it Medusa because of its snake liked straps that are so versatile.

The name Medusa stucked in my mind since I studied a story in my English class back in my high school year. The story was about an absolute beautiful Greek Godness Medusa who had long silky hair. She bragged at being more beautiful than the Goddess Athena, and one day, while in her temple, she was ravished by the Sea God Neptune. Athena was outraged by this and turned her into the Gorgon she became famous for being. She turned Medusa's beautiful hair into snakes and let it be that she could no longer see the handsome men who came to court her, as they would instantly be turned to stone if they looked into her eyes. Lol...I hope it won't turn you into stone when you adore my Medusa bag. :)

This is the close up of Medusa. She has a large exterior zippered pocket that alone can be a size of you regular purse.
It can then convert into a backpack simply insert the straps thru the o-ring and then hook both straps to the  square rings at the mid bottom of bag. Or if you are in the mood to carry it on a slant over your shoulder as a messeger bag. Viola! It will be another style bag.

If you want more of a lady look? No problem, you can simply bring the straps over the o-ring and then insert them thru the o-ring and hook both swivel hooks onto a square ring attached to at the end of the other strap. Viola! A shoulder/tote bag.

Here is the interior of the bag. You can see a large pencil like zippered pocket and three sectioned pouches on the other side.
You see? You can store so much stuff in these three sectioned pouches. Listen up new MOM! Here's a bag for YOU! :)
This is a very roomy EXTRA Large bag that has functionality, style, and sturdiness. If you are a large bag kindna gal, you are going to LOVE this bag. You can also select and choose you own fabric here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/FuchstBags?section_id=7158403

I hope you'll enjoy the story of my Medusa bag!

My stressful months had passed...

It has been awhile since my last blog post, May 31. Let me tell you what had happened to me in between those time. I had quite a roller coaster months in between the month of May and June. It was all started out with an outdoor craft shows and sales that I attended as an exhibitor. I spent the whole two months, working extremely hard on sewing new bags to fill up my booth and for sell. Half way through the process, my most dependable industrial sewing machine broke down because I jammed it too much with thick layers of leathers! Good grief! I tried fixing the machine myself to avoid paying an arm and a leg for the repair cost. It took me awhile to realize that it's out of my hand, it needed a magic touch by the mechanic guy. So I sent it out for repair and I was fortunate enough to find a repairman that didn't charge me a hefty price for it. It's about $40, but I had to lug the whole machine head in about 100 pounds "dead weight" machine to the car and to the store.  You would not want to know how's my back felt after that! :(P

While my heavy duty sewing machine was on repair, I couldn't just sit around doing nothing as I'm quite a workaholic, I sewed clothes! I made about 6 kaftan tops, 4 skirts, 3 summer dresses, and 7 interchangeable shawls/tops. It was fun and easy making clothes comparing to making handbags. The light weight that could feed easily through sewing machine making life so much easier.

I was well prepared by the show date in anticipation of making tons of sells at the show.  Unfortuately, it  rained out during the two days of the show...., and it was an "outdoor show"! It didn't turn out the way I was hoping for, but hey...who said life is always as smooth as we want it to be right? I just have to let it pass and move on to my next project.

Here are a few photos of my booth setup: Enjoy!

This is an interchangeable top that you can wear it as a shawl, scarf, or just a fun top like this over a tan top, and matching with jeans or shorts.
These fabric are gorgeous and are imported from India.

Our fishing day

Aside from my kids, my work has always been my first priority. I work a lot to create my line of handbags, taking photos, posting them in my Etsy.com shop, and promotions, etc...  As I am the kind of person who don't know how to relax...., I'm taking a day off today doing nothing but spending quality time with my hubby and two kids. We went fishing! This is the first time our kids had actually doing some fishing.  We have had a few lines tangled and kids had trouble casting the lines, other than that we had fun!

I enjoy taking pictures of rocks
